A brand new test report by Broadband Testing has given a definite thumbs up to Sunrise’s performance with regards to ITIL guidelines, and beyond.

The IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) is now widely recognised as offering an effective best practice framework within which to operate IT Service Management. Sunrise ITSM was configured to provide an advanced interpretation of the guidelines, and in order to evaluate the product’s performance according to ITIL criteria, Sunrise recently commissioned Europe’s foremost independent IT testing laboratory, Broadband Testing.

The report focused on the disciplines of IT Service Support bearing in mind more general considerations, such as future evolution and an organisation’s own constraints.

“[We considered] the product’s flexibility, ability to support change and scale as a company – and its ITSM needs – expands, how easy it is to configure and manage and how well it integrates with 3rd party applications. […] In each and every case we are satisfied that Sunrise ITSM meets those requirements, within ITIL and beyond.” (SunriseITSM performance within an ITIL framework – a Broadband Testing Report)

Tom Weston, Chairman of Sunrise, said: “I am delighted that a formal endorsement has been given to what the growing number of organisations who have signed up to Sunrise had already understood. Sunrise ITSM provides a perfect tool to implement ITIL, but is by no means restricted to this set of guidelines as it stands now. I would add that no software product can be deemed ITIL ‘compliant’ as ITIL is not prescriptive – the report looks at how Sunrise ITSM interprets the guidelines.”
