North Yorkshire based council select Sostenuto ahead of other IT service management products.
Chessington, UK – 22 January 2008 Craven District Council have announced their purchase of Sostenuto ITSM from Sunrise Software, primarily to support their ongoing Service Delivery improvements and utilisation of ITIL methodologies.
The 13-strong Information Systems team at Craven District Council are split between Service Delivery and Business Transformation/Project Management, and are responsible for overall ICT service provision across the North Yorkshire council, including council members, officers, staff, citizens and authorised third parties, and Sostenuto will directly support over 250 users.
Craven embarked on the ITIL methodology over 18 months ago whilst using Sunrise’s Enterprise solution, and during that time made significant improvements in service delivery. When the next step came to implementing a number of the ITIL processes, Craven went to the market for the right product.
Service Delivery Manager Joe McGee explains how Craven went about this task:
“We looked at other products on the market, but Sostenuto was an excellent, cost effective solution, which met our requirements and fitted well with current methodologies. The fact that we had used Sunrise’s Enterprise very successfully for a number of years previously, helped us in our decision.”
Sostenuto ITSM offers Craven the full ITIL package including incident, problem, change, release management and they also have Sostenuto Chameleon, the portal that offers end users a simple way to log calls, track the status of issues and consult the knowledge base.
