Adventure travel operator select Sostenuto ITSM to manage their service desk and management projects
Chessington, UK – 17 July, 2007
Explore today announced the reasons behind their recent selection of Sostenuto, as well as some early gains that the software has made…
ITIL compatibility was one of the main reasons Explore introduced Sostenuto into their IT department. The adventure travel operator wanted to improve the customer service offered by their service desk and ITIL was an obvious framework to work within.
If ITIL on the service desk is a common pre-requisite, then the company also wanted to apply the ITIL framework to their software development processes, and needed a solution to support this. The nature of Explore’s business means that they develop a lot of their own bespoke applications and without an effective tool to log, track and prioritise development requests, development priorities were not always being assigned appropriately.
“Using Sostenuto to manage our development projects has made a massive difference”, says Andrew Lowther, Explore’s Head of IT.
“By re-configuring the product’s change management function, we have a tool that offers visibility of projects to all of our heads of department, avoiding duplicate requests. Following the implementation of Sostenuto, the projects that move forward do so on the basis of a consensus of key business decision makers”.
