Mothercare select Sostenuto Foundation - Sunrise Software

Retail giant Mothercare embark on a drive for IT service management best practice with Sostenuto Foundation.

Chessington, UK – 18 September, 2007

Sunrise today announced that Mothercare PLC – the baby and children’s retail group that now includes the Early Learning Centre – have purchased Sostenuto Foundation, continuing a long standing relationship between the two companies.

Mothercare have embarked on a drive for best practice IT service management and have chosen Foundation to support that campaign. Foundation offers the ITIL functions of incident management, problem management, configuration management and service level management as standard, and Mothercare have also purchased change management and release management, with the option to add more as they go.

The IT services department at Mothercare currently support over 600 office users in the UK and at International offices, 230 stores and various 3rd parties and warehouses across the UK. Sostenuto Foundation will be used to help support these users more effectively providing improved management of IT services for the IT department and for the business, as well as integrating with various 3rd party suppliers.

Technical Services and Support Manager Peter Rose says: “Sostenuto Foundation will help us provide a better service to users and give us greater visibility of our IT services. We chose Foundation because it is a flexible fully browser based solution, it is fully aligned to the ITIL framework, and also provides Self-Service for customers through its Chameleon portal. We were also impressed by the ability for in-house configuration of Sostenuto, and Sunrise’s attitude to allowing customers to adapt the tool without needing to involve external consultants. This was just one of the factors that made the Total Cost of Ownership for Sostenuto far more attractive than its competitors.
