First look at ‘Compliance Assist’ enhancements for SITS visitors

Chessington, Surrey, 01 June 2018 – Sunrise Software, a leading supplier of IT Service Management (ITSM) software, will be showing the new GDPR compliance capabilities of its ITSM platform, at SITS 5-6 June on stand 260.

GDPR requires the data controller organisation to have the capability to perform ‘Right to Be Forgotten’ requests. Aiding the service desk to meet GDPR and other compliance requirements, Sunrise’s new feature, “Compliance Assist” enables organisations to identify, report on and redact personal data held within the Sunrise platform.

Practicality of running the service desk function is key to the Sunrise service management platform and the latest version, Sunrise 5.4, has been developed with additional thorough, yet easy and adaptable, functionality to aid important day to day tasks.
–              Enhanced report management and scheduling aid the efficiency of the service team on a daily basis.
–              ‘Resource Planner’ provides an all-important handle on the availability of resources with the ability to allocate projects; an easy to use and comprehensive toolkit for viewing and scheduling resources, with multiple views being available.

Visitors to SITS will also see Sunrise’s Service Desk Institute (SDI) Performance Report audited capabilities. Service desk teams who are undertaking the SDI accreditation process find this report pack of great benefit. The suite of reports, which form part of the evidence pack for organisations being audited by the SDI, include the benefit of alterable targets and the ability to set multiple KPIs per call source or based on priority, with improved readability of reporting. Service desks are able to easily show the value that they are providing to the organisation whilst reaping the rewards of greater visibility and more detailed metrics on their performance, allowing them to make better business decisions.

Geoff Rees, Director of Sales & Service at Sunrise says: “There isn’t an organisation untouched by GDPR, nor once it was fully understood, any part of the business – and that includes the service desk. IT has responsibilities as a data processor and must be able to complete individuals’ requests regarding use of their personal data. We cut through the hype – as is our usual approach to product enhancement – and set about seeing how we can help our customers; we’re pleased to say that ‘Compliance Assist’ is a first step that way and our customers are already keen to see it in use.”
