Sunrise Software partners with IBM to offer secure hosting of Service Management solutions for global customers
New partnership enables Enterprises to quickly and securely move from on-premise to Cloud based SaaS solutions.
Chessington, Surrey, 29th October 2016 – Sunrise Software, a leading supplier of service management solutions, today announced that it has signed a partnership agreement with IBM to offer secure cloud-hosted IT Service Management (ITSM) and HR Solutions to both new and existing customers across Europe and the United States of America.
With research predicting that the global cloud-based ITSM market is expected to grow to $8.78 Billion by 2021, this strategic partnership will enable Sunrise Software to support the growing demand from its customer base to move from on-premise solutions to a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform. As a part of the IBM SaaS Assist program, customers that select Sunrise’s hosted ITSM solution will benefit from IBM’s cutting edge cloud hosting technology and expertise.
One of the key drivers behind the partnership agreement is to provide Enterprises with access to solutions that are highly secure and meet their organisation’s IT security and governance requirements. As data protection and compliance regulations mandate enhanced security controls, in which organisations will have a responsibility to demonstrate to the authorities that they have put in place the appropriate use of processes and technology to protect data should a breach occur, organisations are increasingly requesting a greater level of data security, resilience and accreditation from their technology suppliers.
As part of this Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) agreement, which removes the initial CAPEX costs or upheaval that are traditionally associated with the updating of hardware and software solutions, Sunrise customers will be able to take advantage of IBM’s security credentials and knowledge from its 6,000 security specialists, 27 global security labs and the 15 billion security events that they monitor across 130 countries every day.
