Friday Introducing – Alex …
This week we are pleased to introduce you to Alex Weston, Quality Assurance Coordinator for the Professional Services Team at Sunrise Software. Alex has recently moved roles from Testing, where he had an amazing eye for detail as the SCRUM Master, and he is now using his background to bring a lot of value to customer projects in the Professional Services Team.
In his new role, it is Alex’s job to work with the consultants to QA customer project design documentation prior to the implementation to ensure a standard level of consistency. Alex will next become involved, following the consultants configuration work, to QA the configuration against the customer requirements in the project documentation. Alex will then feedback any required changes to the consultants and once they have been completed, he will do a final check before the configuration is applied to the customer’s live system. Alex’s main goal is to prevent any issues for customers when they go live.
During his 5 years at Sunrise Alex has worked in 3 departments – Training, Testing & Professional Services. He is the son of Sunrise’s Chairman, Tom Weston and when he is not busy at his local pub quiz, Alex is Sunrise’s resident film buff – with a love of film, ‘The Thing’, ‘Jaws’ and ‘The good, the bad and the ugly’ being his favourites.
